By creating an account or making a booking, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the online booking service — you can always book by phone.
2. Your account
- Booking online requires an account, so that the visit is in your name and you can look it up, change it or cancel it.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. A minor can of course be a client of the salon — the booking is simply made by a responsible adult.
- The details you give must be true and current. Your phone number is how we reach you if something changes.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe. You may delete your account at any time under “My account → Privacy”.
3. Bookings
A confirmed booking is a distance contract for the supply of services between you and Joselita Azevedo, for a specific date and time. You receive confirmation by email.
- One visit may include up to five services back to back. The times offered on the site already account for the total duration.
- Where a service has variants, the price and duration shown on the service card are a range — the final figure depends on the variant chosen.
- Durations are professional estimates, not guarantees. Skin characteristics, the area being treated or the result you are after can change the time needed — if that happens we talk to you before going ahead.
- We may decline or move a booking in the event of illness, a practitioner being unavailable, or circumstances beyond our control. If that happens we contact you as early as we can and offer an alternative.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices shown on the site include VAT at the applicable statutory rate.
- Nothing is charged when you book. Payment is made at the salon, after the service.
- If the service actually performed differs from the one booked — a different variant, for instance — the price is that of the service performed, agreed with you at the time.
5. Changes, cancellations and no-shows
- You can cancel or change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time, from your account. Inside 24 hours the button is disabled — call us instead and we will sort it out with you.
- When you move a booking, the services stay the same; only the date and time change. To change the services, cancel and book again.
- The 24-hour window exists because reserved time cannot be offered to anyone else. Repeated no-shows without warning may lead us to ask for confirmation before future bookings.
6. Right of withdrawal
Distance contracts normally carry a 14-day right to withdraw without giving a reason. That right does NOT apply to personal-care services booked for a specific date or period, which is what bookings on this site are (Art. 17(1)(l) of Decree-Law 24/2014, implementing Art. 16(l) of the Consumer Rights Directive).
What applies instead is the rule in section 5: you may cancel freely up to 24 hours beforehand, at no cost.
7. Liability
- We provide our services with the professional care that can reasonably be expected. If a result is not what you expected, tell us as soon as you can so we can put it right.
- Tell us before the treatment about allergies, sensitivities, medication, pregnancy, previous treatments or skin conditions — particularly before laser hair removal or a naturopathy consultation. Tell us in person or by phone, not in the booking notes field: that information is discussed with you and is not recorded on the site. Without it we cannot prevent reactions that depend on it.
- We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or entirely error-free operation. Nothing in these terms removes your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Personal data
How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. For any question about personal data, write to joselitaazevedo.instituto@gmail.com.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for instance if the way bookings work changes. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with its date at the top. Bookings already confirmed are governed by the version you accepted when you booked.
10. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. In the event of a consumer dispute, you may turn to the competent alternative dispute resolution body: Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo de Lisboa (CACCL) — https://www.centroarbitragemlisboa.pt.
We also provide a Complaints Book in physical and electronic format, at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
